Why Tinkerspace

A real 3D plan. Not another AI photo filter.

Most “AI interior design” tools hand you a picture or a video you cannot touch. Tinkerspace gives you a live, editable 3D scene — furnished with real products, costed as you build, and open to everyone in your household at once.

How it compares

One editable design vs a pile of pretty renders.

AI photo apps regenerate a picture. 3D planners give you geometry but little sense of real products or cost. Single-brand AR apps stage furniture, but only their own. Here is where each lands.

What makes it different

A design you can edit, price and build — together.

You get a scene, not a screenshot

The AI-room category hands you a static image, or an unrealistic fly-through video you cannot change. Tinkerspace gives you a live, editable 3D model you walk through and reshape. The output is the design itself — not a render of it.

Place it exactly where it goes

Move, rotate and resize any object to the millimetre with an on-screen gizmo or typed values. Change one chair without re-rolling the whole room — impossible when the “design” is a single AI image.

Every piece is a real product with a real price

Furnish from real products sized to scale, or pull a piece in from a retail link. Each item carries its real price and your total updates live, so the design doubles as a costed plan you can actually order.

A concrete scene makes AI accurate

Because your scene already has real walls, real dimensions and placed geometry, AI generation is anchored to reality — objects land at the right scale in a real layout, instead of a flat, hallucinated render.

Generate from your own design, both ways

From a rendered view of your real scene, run an image-to-image restyle for extra photorealism and fresh ideas — or turn a photo into a 3D object that drops straight into the editable scene. Generation grounded in your design, not a disposable one-shot.

Design it together

Invite your partner, family or designer into the same live scene — edits and cursors sync in real time. A designer ↔ homeowner collaboration layer, matching you with pros to build inside your model, is on the way.

FAQ

Questions homeowners actually ask.

How is this different from the AI room apps I keep seeing?

Those apps take a photo and hand you back a new picture — or an AI fly-through video that looks slick but you cannot touch. Tinkerspace gives you a live 3D model of your actual unit that you walk through and edit. The output is a real, editable design, not a render you have to accept or reroll.

Is this just an AI image, or something I can actually edit?

Something you edit. You draw your walls, place rooms and drop in furniture, then move, rotate and resize anything to the exact spot — down to the millimetre. Nothing is baked into a flat picture.

Is the furniture real? Can I actually buy it?

Yes. You furnish from a catalogue of real products sized to scale, and you can pull in a piece from a retail link. Every item carries its real price, so what you design is something you can actually order.

How does budgeting work?

Every product you place carries its real price, and your total updates live as you add, swap and remove pieces. You can see the cost of the room build up as you design — no separate spreadsheet, no surprises.

Do you use AI? What kind?

Yes, in two grounded ways. You can turn a photo into a 3D object placed in your scene, and you can run an image-to-image restyle on a rendered view of your own design for extra realism and fresh ideas. Because it starts from your real, dimensioned scene, the results stay consistent with the room you actually have — not a one-shot guess from a random photo.

Can I place things precisely?

Yes — click to place, drag with an on-screen gizmo to move, rotate and scale, or type exact X/Y/Z values in millimetres. You can even stack items on top of each other.

Does it work for my HDB BTO?

That is exactly who it is built for. Start from a 3, 4 or 5-room BTO layout and model your real unit, instead of fighting a generic room planner made for detached houses overseas.

Do I need to be a designer to use it?

No. It is a sandbox — start from a preset layout, drag in furniture and play. You get a real, walkable design without knowing any CAD software.

Can I invite my partner or family to edit the same design?

Yes. Scenes are live multiplayer — invite others into the same room and edits and cursors sync in real time, so the whole household plans together.

Can I work with an interior designer on it?

Live collaboration ships today, so a designer you invite can work in the same scene with you. A dedicated designer ↔ homeowner collaboration layer — matching you with pros to build inside your model — is on our roadmap.

Is it free to start?

Yes, you can start designing for free. Create your unit, furnish it and walk through it before deciding anything.

Stop guessing at renders. Build a home you can actually walk through.
